Harper Harlow thought the only thing she would have to worry about in the shadow of spring was planning her wedding. Little did she know, a string of break-ins in Whisper Cove had caught the attention of the cops, including her fiancé Jared Monroe. Tragedy struck when one of those break-ins resulted in the death of a local barber, and it became clear that what was once written off as teenage hijinks was something much more sinister.
Alongside the break-ins, Harper found herself distracted by a new resident, a man bringing an art gallery to town and his troubled sister, Rain Porter. Rain didn't want to be in Southeastern Michigan and was hiding a big secret. Harper was determined to help the girl, but the young woman soon pushed the exact wrong buttons.
As Harper delved deeper into the situation, she began to worry that she didn't really want to find the answer. When a ghost from the other side of the state showed up and started invading her dreams, things went from bad to worse. Jared wanted nothing more than to protect Harper, but there were some things he couldn't fight, and a ghost was one of them.
It was going to take everyone working together to find a way out of this, and even then, survival was not a given. Harper, Jared, and Zander had to jump on the ghost train, because this was going to be a wild ride.
Things weren't as they seemed, and the more Harper dug, the more she realized that the seemingly simple break-ins were part of a much more complex and sinister plot. The local barber's death was just the tip of the iceberg, and the deeper she went, the more she realized that the culprits were not who they appeared to be.
The new resident and his troubled sister, Rain, were not just innocent bystanders, but were somehow connected to the events unfolding in Whisper Cove. Harper had to navigate this delicate situation, all while trying to plan her wedding and deal with the haunting presence that was invading her dreams.
Jared was determined to protect Harper, but he was quickly learning that there were some battles he couldn't win. The ghost that was tormenting them was unlike anything he had ever encountered, and he knew that he needed the help of everyone in the town to get to the bottom of it.
As the investigation progressed, Harper and her team uncovered a web of secrets and lies that stretched far beyond the borders of Whisper Cove. The break-ins were just the beginning, and the true motives behind the events were far more sinister than anyone could have imagined.
With time running out and the ghost becoming more and more aggressive, Harper, Jared, and Zander had to put aside their personal differences and work together to find a way to stop the haunting and uncover the truth. The stakes were high, and the outcome was far from certain, but they knew they had to try.
